Meniscus at the NEC
...7.30am at
Boroughbridge - I didn't think that was a real time, far too early for a monkey
to get up. I met up with the rest of the kids (TP, Goggle Eye's(908),
Saint & Greavsie) in Morrisons car park and travelled down together to the
NEC for about 10.30ish. 'Look he's speeding up, now he's slowing down - ARGHH' -
calm down Greavsie, you'll have a coronary and your doing 'me-ead-in'. Anyway we
got to the NEC and looked around a few stands with some rally cars, and F1's and
single seaters and karts...yawn yawn yawn - eventually we came to the F2
stands, thats better. Girls, Girls, Girls - 'Now that's what I'm talking about!'
- all of them want a photo with Main Monkey!
Back to stockcars
and a couple of new cars to mention. In 2007 we will have a real challenger to
existing World & National Points Champion Number 79 'Loser Moodie' - its Number 7
'Loser Moodie2' - well to be honest no-one else has much of a chance. One
possible outsider for the National points is 'Me bubble's
stuck-in-me-spirit-level Farrell'(667) and a possible World Final winner is ex
champ (24) 'Willy Peter-out'.
I have had a close
look at all the cars as you will see from the pics and although they have been
nicely built and painted, with no expense spared, after I have sat on them they
are all slightly soiled - Errrr! That's something to bear-in-mind when they are
passing you or sending you towards the fence. Come to think of it - the girls
that held me are all a little bit dirtier now, partly from my thoughts and
partly due to my fur being conditioned with a mix of mud, rain, grit, oil, salt
and tyre softener and then getting blow-dried down the motorway on the
trailer.
After we watched the
show in the live action arena we had some food (a slice of tasteless pizza
& uncooked chips) and a couple of pints of lager - the kids all seemed to be
getting on ok, so I had a couple more pints and I needed to relax a bit after
getting touched and squeezed by so many monkey lovers, so I had a quick
cig(Don't do it kids - its not big and its not clever unless your lungs are made
of cloth like mine and then its very clever?)

Anyway after we had another quick
look round the F2's we headed home - Greavsie got a bit tired driving home(Take
a break every 2 hours) - so to be safe, I drove the rest of the way - SEE THE VIDEO HERE!!!
...Back to the
garage Sunday Morning, TP's all motivated now, so whats the first thing he does
- grind off the axle mount that he welded on on Friday night in the wrong place
- and he wants to get to red?
Meniscus Tip 1
'Measure Twice, cut once!'
Hopefully by next
week the trailer should be finished and the car should be started, but I
wouldn't hold your breath! Now let me go back to sleep.
